Description

"Ornamented with broad bands lavishly engraved with portions of armor in the style associated with ""Pisan armour."" At the top of the midmost band a mounted cannon, below which are two medallions enclosing two busts affronte.

Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from Arnold Seligmann, Rey & Co., Inc., April 24, 1924 for $185.13; sold to Gimbel Bros., Inc., January 31, 1942 for $75."
