Description

"Of four parts and of beautiful form, decorated with highly embossed radiating flutes, V-shaped opening at neck, the upper and principal plate indented with a series of arches at lower centre, imposed upon a fan-shaped arrangement of flutes to wait-plate, the graceful plate of garde-de-rein similarly decorated.

Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from Arms & Armor Sale, Sotheby & Co., London, July 9, 1931, thru National Magazine Co., Ltd., August 31, 1931."
