"Decorated with an etched foliated scroll border and equipped with an octagonal section mounted upon a cartouche etched with a scroll pattern and armorial bearings presumably of Italian origin.
Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from Christie, Manson & Woods, April 17, 1923, through Willia Permain, May 4, 1923 for $$817.53; sold to Gimbel Bros., Inc., February 30, 1943 for $215."
