Description

"Hexagon barrel partly engraved with scroll and floral design, the lock is also engraved and shows traces of gilt. Mahogany stock inlaid with mother-of-pearl and ivory. Pieces missing. Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from Hugo Helbing, November 25, 1909 for $214.68; sold to Gimbel Bros., Inc., September 30, 1942 for $109."
