Decorated by bands etched richly in "Pisan" style, with trophies, monsters and Renaissance figures. Its elements are authentic, except part of left tasset, region of fingers and ears.
Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from the Bashford Dean Sale, held at the American Art Galleries, November 18 - 19, 1921, through P. W. French & Co., January 14, 1922 for $1,650; sold to Gimbel Bros., Inc., June 30, 1943 for $516.60.
