"With engraved barrel. Butt and stock richly inlaid with engraved bone and mother-of-pearl, displaying an angel playing the lute, various animals, foliage, etc. Elegant arms. Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from Frederick Muller & Co. Sale, through Frederick Muller & Co. Amsterdam, Holland, April 24, 1930 for $530.64; sold to Gimbel Bros., Inc., March 30, 1944 for $139."
