"With decorative engraved and gilt wheel-lock, entirely overlaid with engraved bone displaying scenes of bear and fox hunting, a standing griffin carrying an arquebus, a cartouche with crowned monogram, wreaths of fruit, etc. Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from Frederick Muller & Co. Sale, through Frederick Muller & Co. Amsterdam, Holland, April 24, 1930 for $530.64; sold to Gimbel Bros., Inc., April 1942 for $262.50."
