"Blued polygonal barrel. Blued lock. Stock with ivory inlays engraved with hunting motives. Trigger- guar with finger-rest. Butt of the so-called ""doe's foot"" shape, used especially in north-eastern Europe: Courland, Bohemia, Livonia, Poland. From Dupasquier Collection. Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from Arnold Seligmann, Rey & Co., April 24, 1924 for $1,058.97; sold to Gimbel Bros., Inc., September 30, 1942 for $319."
