This study presents a research and performance score for the role of Richard III in Shakespeare's Richard III. By closely analyzing the text, the study reveals insights that can enhance the portrayal of the character. Methods such as scansion, punctuation, capitalization, alliteration, antithesis, assonance, repetition, and structure are examined in depth. The analysis shows how Shakespeare uses these methods in Richard’s soliloquy to portray him as a sarcastic and manipulative character.
