"Chased barrel with engraved breech. Engraved lock; screwplate perforated and engraved with amorini amid interlaced and scroll ornaments. Stock with iron butt-cap, chased with human figures. Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from Arnold Seligmann, Rey & Co., Inc., April 24, 1924 for $757.74; sold to Gimbel Bros., Inc., February 28, 1941 for $219. "
