"Of delicate construction, the mainspring upon outside of lock, the stock elaborately inlaid with pearl and stag-horn showing figures and monsters, smooth bore barrel. Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from Sotheby & Co., London, England, June 20, 1929 for $102.19; sold to Gimbel Bros., Inc., March 30, 1943 for $124."
