Description

"Flintlock pistol with inlaid barrel. The haft of the weapon is sufficiently long to allow it to be used as a walking-staff, and inlaid with mother-of-pearl and ivory. Contains a gilt sword blade. Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from Arnold Seligmann, Rey & Co., Inc., April 24, 1924 for $757.74; sold to Gimbel Bros., Inc., April 30, 1941 for $274."
