Description
In pale green faience, found on the head of a mummy.
The helmet is of rounded form and terminates in a large bulb. The front bears an inscription, "Asar Hor Psamtek," - "The Osiris Hor Psamtek." Probably unique.
Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from MacGregor Collection Sale, Sotheby, Wilkinson & Hodge, London, June 26 - July 6, 1922, through William Permain for $577.20; sold to Mr. Joseph Brummer, November 20, 1940 for $900 (sold with other items).
