"Of large size, with chased branches and large bosses of chased bronze. In the convex centre of the bosses is depicted a combat of sea-divinities. The flat rim forms a serrated border. Superb piece, very rare indeed of this quality and in this condition.
From Dupasquier Collection.
Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from Arnold Seligmann, Rey & Co., April 24, 1924."
