"Closed helmet, with comb, visor, ventail and bevor. Nine breathing-holes in the right side of the ventail; none appear on the left. Tilting helmet.

Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from American Art Galleries, April 30, 1923 for $30; sold to Gimbel, July 1942 for $76."
