Description

"Heavy model having lock provided with match-lock as well. Stock ornamented with inlaid rosettes, bands, stags and does. Lock with richly engraved pyrites holder and with basal ornament of spring in the form of a Polish rider. Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from American Art Association, November 23, 1923 for $400; sold to Gimbel Bros., Inc., April 30, 1941 for $249."
