Description

"Stock of pear wood inlaid sparingly with plates of buckhorn, engraved with foliation and figures. Lock richly engraved replaces a longer one. Provenance: Purchased by William Randolph Hearst from American Art Association, Nov. 23, 1923 for $80.00; sold to Gimbel Bros. Inc., Feb. 28, 1941 for $29.50."
